You can see the swollen eyelid and forehead. Even though he looked pretty pathetic, he was still eating and wanted to be cuddled.
At The Vet
I brought along a blankie for him to make him more comfortable at the vet.

Simon arrived home with a big appetite. After he ate, Sedona quickly started grooming him and snuggling with him. He settled right in.
He has a small incision on his forehead. It is still swollen but that will likely go down soon. I’ve got antibiotics to give him twice a day and pain medication once a day. I’ve been very impressed with him so far. Even when I had to force him to open his mouth for the antibiotics, he did not scratch or bite me. A few times an hour, I wipe pus off of his forehead. Even though he flinches, he doesn’t try to hurt me and get away.
The vet said that the wound should heal quickly. I hope that it does. I also hope that the coming weeks will involve much less feline-related drama.
I look forward to Simon being back to his normal, happy self.
