Dalton Highway, Arctic Ocean Trip, Alaska

I am currently staying in Fairbanks, Alaska after getting back from a three day trip to the Arctic Ocean. It was the most fun I’ve had on a roadtrip. The scenery was enjoyable, but it was the company that affected me most.

Highlights

  • Driving 1,000+ miles in 3 days
  • Dipping my hands into the Arctic Ocean
  • Using duct tape to repair my boots (the only pair of shoes that I brought camping) after they fell apart
  • Tripping and falling, ripping the only pair of pants that I brought and gouging my knee
  • Learning how to pee in the woods
  • Hiking to a waterfall and dipping my head into it to wash my hair
  • Getting eaten alive by mosquitoes
  • Seeing Alaskan wildlife: Dall sheep, moose, fox, swans
