I’ve talked a little bit about Simon and Sedona, the cats I adopted from Animal Aid, a shelter in Portland.
They are settling in well. Yesterday I took them to the veterinary hospital to have some stitches removed. They both did great riding in the car.
I love that they snuggle together. Simon is a bit of a bully – he’ll plop down on Sedona when she obviously isn’t in the mood to cuddle. But, they usually work things out without any intervention from me.
As I spend more time with both of them, I’m feeling more confident in my decision to adopt them. Initially, I felt a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of being responsible for two furry beings. But, I think that responsibility is worth it. They’ve already made my apartment feel more like a home.
It looks like they are not in a good mood! Do they always give you a get outta my way look? And which one is which? Anyway, they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhen are you coming for a visit?
Aunt Duddie:
ReplyDeleteHmm. Maybe that's just my photography skills... because they were in pretty good moods for all of these pictures. :)
Simon is the giant lanky one with white on his face. Sedona is the fluffball.
I'm coming for a brief visit on Oct 29th (to photograph a wedding) and the 30th (to photograph an engagement shoot). I'm not sure if I'll be there for Sunday. After that, I'll be up in December to get ready for a work conference (I'll be flying out of Seatac).
Thanks for commenting! :)
