- Drove 3 hours to my hometown
- Spent a day packaging jellybeans as favors
- Took a plane to San Francisco for a work conference
- Took a taxi
- Attended a conference and did a smidgen of public speaking
- Saw an awesome view of the Bay Bridge
- Wandered Chinatown
- Rode a trolley
- Walked down Lombard Street and then walked back up
- Ate Cioppino at Fisherman’s Wharf
- Bought chocolate at the Ghirardelli factory
- Took a plane home and slept quite soundly
- Promptly got sick because I didn’t finish my last round of antibiotics (stupid, I know)
- Went to urgent care
- Spent the next few days sleeping on an airbed at my mom’s
- Drove home to Vancouver
And I did this all without any internal meltdowns, extreme awkwardness or overwhelming self-doubt.
That’s a pretty big deal for me.
You walked Lombard? If I did that you would have to call 411 to get the number for 911.
ReplyDeleteGlad you feel better.
Aunt Duddie: Yes indeed. It was killer on the legs!
ReplyDeleteOur little girl is growing up.
ReplyDeleteA marathon week! I'm sorry about your getting sick. There's no place like mom's when you're sick!
